Description
Pair of double pile houses. Circa 1760.
These are a pair of cottages from the early 19th century. The Cottage is finished with roughcast over stucco featuring incised lines, while The Old Cottage is entirely stuccoed with incised lines. Both have tiled roofs and are two storeys tall with four windows. The Cottage has mid 19th century sashes on the first floor with verticals only, and the ground floor features 20th century four-light windows and a small fixed casement. It also has a left side doorcase with a flat hood supported by brackets and a 20th century plank door. The Old Cottage has a mid 19th century six-pane sash with horns on the left side of the first floor and a 20th century three-light casement on the right. The ground floor includes a mid 19th century six-pane sash with horns on the left and a 20th century three-light casement on the right. It features a flat wooden hood with brackets and a 20th century plank door. The left side has a gable with moulded wooden bargeboards. This building is included for its group value.
