Description

Rose Cottages is a pair of cottages that were originally one house, dating from the early 19th century. The exterior features stucco walls with joint lining and a slurried slate roof that is hipped on the right and gabled on the left. The building has two main front rooms with a central entrance stair hall and likely has rear service rooms, creating a double depth plan. There are brick stacks at each end. The cottages were divided into two around the late 19th century. The structure is two storeys high and has a symmetrical front with two original 12-pane hornless sash windows and a blind window in the center on the first floor. The central entrance has a late 20th century panelled door. Rose Cottages forms a group with number 3 Rose Cottages. The interior has not been inspected.
