Description

Whorns Place is a former granary that has been converted into a house. It was built in the early 17th century for Sir John Leveson. The structure is made of red brick in English bond, with some parts painted. It features a tiled gabled roof and has two storeys plus an attic. On the east side, there are three casement windows and a staircase projection. There is a small brick porch on the west side, topped with a crow-stepped gable that has a stone cartouche displaying the arms of Sir John Leveson. This building is located on the boundary with Halling Parish.
