Description

The gateway to Whorns Place and the cart shed is a 16th-century structure located on the south side of Rochester Road in Halling. It is made of red brick laid in English bond and features a four-centred arched gateway crafted from moulded brick, flanked by short abutments. The gateway conceals a lean-to cart shed from the 18th century, which has five bays. The cart shed is supported by oak posts with short braces, and it has a hipped roof covered with plain tiles.
