Description

White Hart House is a house dating from the early 15th century. It is timber-framed with some exposed sections and painted plaster infilling. The roof is hipped and covered with plain tiles, featuring a ridge stack. The building has two storeys with jettied ends and an irregular arrangement of casement windows. Inside, the former Wealden plan is evident, including a former 1½ bay open hall. There is a massive tie beam with a crown post, which is cruciform and supported by four braces. A four-centred doorway is located in the northeast corner of the hall, and both ends of the hall feature moulded and brattished beams.
