Description
Poland's Cottage, located on Four Elms Road in Edenbridge, is likely a 16th-century farmhouse that has been converted into three cottages. The building is two storeys high and features three windows in total. It has a high-pitched tiled roof with a ridge stack that has been rebuilt at the upper part, and end chimneys have been added. The first floor is tile-hung, while the ground floor is made of 19th-century brick, which includes a brick dentil band at the first floor level. The windows consist of 19th-century one-bar casements and 20th-century square-paned casements. Various doors are situated under bracketed gabled hoods. The rear span of the building is narrower. Inside, there is a significant amount of exposed timber and inglenooks.
