Description

Rose Cottage is a probably 16th century timber-framed cottage that stands two storeys high and features three windows. It has a high-pitched tiled roof that is hipped on the left side, with a rebuilt ridge stack. The first floor is tile hung, while the ground floor is constructed of brick. On the right side, there is restored timber framing set on a rubble plinth. The roof extends as a lean-to on the left side. The cottage has 19th century casement windows and a plank door that is located under a flat, bracketed hood. The rear elevation reveals original timber framing, with later brick filling and a weatherboarded first floor.
