Description

No. 18 High Street is a building dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It features a painted weatherboarded exterior that conceals an older framed structure. The building is one storey high with a dormer. It has a ridge tile roof with plain projecting eaves, which extend down as a lean-to awning in front of the shop, supported by tubular metal posts. The shop front has shuttered windows and a stable door. To the right, there is a plain boarded door and a small glazed light. The first floor includes a tiled gable-ended dormer with a square, non-opening window. Additionally, there is an 18th-century stone horse mount located to the left of the shop. Nos. 12 to 18 form a group.
