Description

A timber-framed double-span house, likely dating from the 17th century, with alterations. It is two storeys high with four windows. The roof has a very steep pitch covered in tiles, with sprocketed eaves and soffits, and two rebuilt ridge stacks. The first floor is pebble-dashed, while the ground floor is painted brick. The first floor windows are 18th or early 19th-century leaded iron casements in exposed moulded frames. The ground floor has three square bays dating from around 1900. A four-panel door is sheltered by a pent roof of a similar period, and the bay windows have decorative glazing. Number 13 has a matching entrance on the left return, which also features leaded iron casements. Nos 13 to 19 (odd), Medway House and Medway Cottage are designated as a group.
