Description

Medway Cottage and Medway House are mid-19th century buildings located on the south side of High Street in Cowden. They are two storeys tall and feature a total of five windows. The buildings are constructed of red brick and have a fairly low pitched hipped slate roof. A stucco band runs along the first floor. The sash windows, some of which have glazing bars, are topped with gauged brick arches. Medway House has a four-panel door with sidelights set in a modified entablature surround, while Medway Cottage has a similar four-panel door to the left. These buildings are included for their group value, along with Nos 13 to 19 (odd).
