Description
The building consists of school buildings with a teacher's house located behind, originally designed as three cottages in an L-shape, incorporating a 16th century or earlier framed structure. The two cottages that face the road have been converted into a single large school room, featuring lattice clerestorey windows and a large modern mullioned and transomed window on the eastern elevation. The ground floor is constructed of 19th century brick and includes two projecting 19th century tiled porches. The first floor showcases exposed 16th century restored framing with plaster infilling and a ridge tile roof. The eastern elevation has a modern gable end with exposed half-timbering and plaster infilling, while the base is made of 19th century brickwork. At the rear, there is a 16th century framed cottage with brick and exposed framing above, also with plaster infilling and a central ridge stack, along with a small projecting 19th century porch on the side. There are modern school buildings adjacent to the right-hand side.
