Description
The Smoke House located at the rear of Obriss Farmhouse is likely from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is a two-storey structure featuring a combination of tarred weatherboarding and brick, topped with a tiled roof and an upper loading door. The building stands on a foundation made of brick and stone, and it has a stout offset brick chimney. Inside, there is an inglenook fireplace used for smoking, along with a bread oven. The roof is constructed with Queen struts, and the four corner beams have jowls. Obriss Farmhouse, the barn, and the smoke house together form a group.
