Description
Obriss Farmhouse is a 16th-century farmhouse with two storeys and three windows, featuring a back part that was added around 1700. The front elevation has a high-pitched, half-hipped tiled roof with a chimney stack located just off centre. The walls are made of red brick with some blue headers. It has one- and three-light leaded casement windows in old frames, a first-floor band, and segmental relieving arches over the ground floor windows. The front entrance has a replaced plank door in a stout frame, sheltered by a flat hood.
The back view reveals three gable ends corresponding to the parallel ridges of the addition. The upper parts are tile-hung, while the ground floor is red brick with blue headers. It features two-light casements, mostly made of old iron, and a plank door in a moulded wood frame. Inside, there is much exposed timber on both floors, with the original timber-framed back wall visible, showcasing square framing with stout diagonal braces. The kitchen includes an inglenook fireplace with an old side cupboard, and the sitting room features an early 18th-century panelled dado and a round-headed cupboard.
