Description

The Wellhead Canopy, built in 1898, features a pyramidal tiled roof supported by a sturdy wooden frame that rests on single posts with quadrant braces. It has a pointed central arch and includes a bronze strip on the beam above, which bears the inscription "Octavia Hill sank this well for the use of the villagers, 1898."
