EDENBRIDGE SWAN LANE Swan Lane Barn at Swan Lane Farm

Barn. Circa 1550 with some C19 modifications. Timberframed barn, refronted in weather- boarding on brick base. Slate roof. Central cart entrance has C19 double doors of diagonal boards. C19 lean-to to north with through purlin roof. Three bay barn. Mid-rail, curved braces and jowled upright posts. Almost all jowled posts to the wall-frame are present. Queenpost roof with one queenpost missing. Pair of curved windbraces in central bay. A ridgepiece was inserted in the C19 and also a floor at one end.
