Description

Earlylands Cottage is a 16th century timber-framed building that stands two storeys high and features two windows. It has an Irish pitched, tiled roof and tile-hung cladding on the first floor, while the ground floor has been rebuilt in brick. The entrance consists of a plank door located beneath a modern tiled porch. The cottage includes 19th century casement windows and has a lean-to extension on the right side. Inside, there is an inglenook fireplace, old stairs, and plank floors. The interior showcases much heavy exposed timber with cow-dung plaster, and the ceiling beams on the ground floor are numbered with Roman numerals.
