Description
Brownings is a 16th-century timber-framed building with an elevation dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It has two storeys and features four irregularly placed windows. The roof is hipped and covered with tiles, and there is a central coupled stack. The ground floor is constructed of brick, with a brick plinth and band, while the upper part is finished with painted weatherboarding, complete with eaves and a bracket gutter. The building has various boxed frame casement windows and a modern panelled door set within the exposed frame. The rear elevation reveals visible timber framing with brick filling, and there is a modern one-storey projecting extension. Inside, the property boasts a restored inglenook and substantial exposed timber.
