Description

The barn located to the west of Hilders Farmhouse is likely from the 16th century and features a five-bay timber frame. It is weatherboarded and sits on a rubble foundation, with some later brick underpinning. The roof is half hipped and tiled. There is an aisle to the west and porches on both the east and west sides. The barn has a stout arch-braced tie beam, queen struts, and wind braces supporting the purlins. A hipped cross gable on the right creates a granary above an open shelter shed.
