Description
Pootings Manor is a hall house that dates back to the 16th century or earlier. It features a timber frame and has a later 16th-century fireplace and chimney. The house has a large, wide-hipped tiled roof with rafter ends visible at the eaves and a compound stack at the ridge end. The entrance front has two storeys and three windows, which are now covered in new white weatherboarding and fitted with modern casements and a door. There is one small 16th-century window with diagonal wood mullions. To the left, there is a small projecting lean-to, and to the right, a two-storey extension with one window. The rear elevation is similar to the front. Inside, crown posts are still present in the roof.
