Description
Grange Cottage is a small timber-framed cottage dating from the 16th century or earlier. It has one storey and an attic and is connected by a modern extension to an old stable building on the left. On the right side, there is a lean-to that projects at the front and end, dating from the 17th century or early 18th century, with a hip roof at the corner. The cottage features high-pitched tiled roofs and a cross-gable on the right, along with one gabled dormer. The exterior is made of galleted random rubble with red brick dressings, and there are two new windows and a door. The modern link is also one storey with an attic and one window. The stable section, which is also one storey and has an attic, includes a carriageway. At the back, there are some 18th-century iron casements, and the interior reveals much exposed stout timber.
