Description

Buttles Steps Cottage is a small cottage dating from the 17th century or earlier, constructed of rubble stonework and built into the side of a hill. The cottage has two storeys and features two windows. It has a thatched ridge roof with an end chimney that has been partly rebuilt. In front, there are two large sloped stone buttresses, along with a modern brick buttress at the left end. The replaced casement windows and the modern door in the glazed porch are accented with red brick dressings. There are also modern extensions located at the back of the cottage.
