Description

Toehill is a cottage that dates from the 17th century or earlier. It is constructed of roughcast stone rubble and features a thatched roof with half-hipped gable ends. The cottage has one storey and an attic, with a range of three windows that are mainly modern casements. There is a modern porch on the right side and a later lean-to extension at the north end. The chimney stack, which is made of rebuilt brick, is positioned off centre at the ridge. Inside, there is a heavy chamfered fireplace bressummer.
