Description

Lea Hill Farm Hotel is a building that was originally a farmhouse, dating to approximately the 16th century or earlier. It is constructed of stone rubble with a thatched roof and gabled ends. The building is two storeys high, featuring casement windows and one flat roof dormer. Brick chimney stacks are located along the ridge of the roof. A right-hand (south-east) wing has an external stone chimney stack on its gable end, with set-offs.

The interior includes a cross passage with a plank and muntin screen, featuring a pointed arched doorway. There is also a timber-framed partition wall with a blocked round arched doorway. A floor was likely inserted into the former hall, evidenced by a stopped chamfer ceiling beam, and a possibly inserted chimney with a fireplace featuring a chamfered timber bressummer. The wing is believed to contain a jointed cruck truss.
