TQ 76 SE BREDHURST THE STREET (west side)

1/124 Abbotts Court II

House. C15 or later with early C19 additions and alterations. Right section: C15 or later timber-framed with ground floor clad in red brick and first floor tile-hung, with plain tile roof. 2 storeys on brick plinth. Roof hipped to right with gablet. Small ridge stack towards right end. Irregular fenestration of one single- light and 2 two-light casements. Small wooden porch with very slightly pitched, leaded roof supported on plain posts. Panelled door. Left section: Early C19. Chequered red and grey brick with plain tile roof. 2 storeys on brick plinth. Roof higher and of shallower pitch than that of right section, gabled to right, hipped to left. Rear stack. One C19 2-light first-floor window with narrow marginal glazing bars. Rear wing: to right: old red bricks with plain tile roof. 2 storeys on high brick plinth with steeply pitched roof and projecting end stack.
