Description

Lower Cox Street Farmhouse is a house dating from the 15th century. It is timber-framed and weatherboarded, topped with a plain tile roof. The building is positioned at right angles to the road and has two storeys. It was formerly jettied at the left end. The roof, which is likely not from the 15th century, has a shallow pitch and is hipped at both ends. There is an off-centre shouldered stack at the right end, which has a flint panel at its base. The fenestration is irregular, featuring two glazing bar sashes. A painted brick porch, located slightly to the right of the stack, has a gabled plain tile roof and contains a panelled door.
