Description
Beaux Aires Cottage is a late 16th-century cottage, possibly built in two phases. It features a timber frame clad in red brick arranged in Flemish bond, topped with a plain tile roof. The cottage is two stories tall with a hipped roof at both ends. There is an off-centre ridge stack on the right and a projecting stack on the left gable end. A large 20th-century central hipped dormer provides light to the first-floor rooms, and there is a blocked window below it. The cottage has irregular windows, including one small three-light casement towards the left end on the first floor and three two-light casements with segmental heads on the ground floor. A ribbed door is located beneath the stack, off-centre to the right. At the rear, there is a later lean-to addition. Inside, the cottage features exposed beams and posts.
