Description

Halsey Cottage is a late 16th-century cottage located on Glaziers Lane in Normandy. The building is timber framed, with a base of whitewashed brick, and the timber frame is exposed above with curved angle braces and whitewashed brick infill. It has a plain tiled roof, which is hipped with a gablet to the left, and half-hipped to the right. The cottage is two storeys high, with three framed bays, a front stack to the left, and a ridge stack to the right of centre. The window openings are irregular, with two casement windows on the ground floor, each with a hood. A planked door is situated at the left end, within a hipped, timber-framed porch with margin lights flanking the entrance. A catslide roof extends to the rear.
