Description
Bimbury Manor is a medieval manor house that is now in ruins. It is constructed of flint with stone dressings at the two northern corners. The remaining walls stand to a height of two stories, forming a narrow oblong room that includes a stair-turret at the south end of the east wall. There is evidence suggesting that the building originally extended to the west and had a northern extension. On the west wall, there is a slightly projecting external flint stack, which features brick dressings and a brick top, indicating it may have been added later. A small rectangular window is present at first-floor level, though it is largely obscured by vegetation. The south elevation has a two-story gap that may have been the position of a door. Bimbury Manor is also known as Binbury Manor.
