Description
The Rectory is a house that dates back to the 15th century, featuring an early 18th-century front and a late 19th-century addition on the right side. It is constructed with timber framing and has red and blue brick cladding on the left and red brick on the right. The roof is plain tiled, with an end stack on the left and additional stacks at the rear. The building has two storeys, with a plat band above the ground floor on the left and a projecting gable front bay on the right. There are casement windows, with two on the first floor to the left and one to the right. The ground floor includes tripartite windows to the left, which are set under cambered heads, and an angle bay window to the right that is covered by a pentice roof. The entrance features a part-glazed door with a cambered head, located at the angle of the two ranges, and there are catslide extensions at the rear. Inside, timber framing is visible in the rear room, particularly on the ceilings, and a mill spindle is used as a ceiling beam in the rear room on the left. There is also a crown post in the roof.
