Description
The Plough Public House is a building that dates back to the 16th century at the rear, with early 19th century extensions at the front. It features a timber frame with brick infill at the rear, and the front is rendered and roughcast. The structure is two storeys high and has three sash windows with glazing bars on the first floor, along with two late 19th century angle bay windows on the outer ground floor bays. There is a central half-glazed door that is sheltered by a pentice roof, which extends over the bay windows and is supported by two wooden posts, one on either side of the door. At the rear, there are two wings that are set at right angles to the main building. The left-hand return front displays exposed framing, while the right-hand return front is under a hipped roof. Inside, the framing is visible in the rear room of the left-hand wing.
