Description
South Lodge is a lodge built in 1869. It features a diaper pattern brick base with half-timbered roughcast above. The building has plain tiled roofs and stacks at both ends. It is two storeys tall on the right side, which has a bargeboarded gable front, and one storey on the left, where there is a square brick pier at the recessed corner. The lodge has leaded casement windows, with two on the ground floor. The door is located to the left in an open porch recess. On the right side, there is an open porch to the left and a leaded angle bay window to the right in the gable front bay. The planked door to the left has strapwork hinges, and there are braced wooden supports at the angle of the porch.
