Description

Holly Lodge is a lodge dating to 1903, situated in the Borough of Elmbridge. The lower portion of the building is constructed of knapped flint, with roughcast above, and features plain tiled roofs incorporating bands of fishscale tiling. A rendered ridge stack is located on the crosswing to the left. The crosswing is two storeys high and has a jettied first floor, supported by a moulded bressumer and decorative brackets. To the right is a single-storey section with an attic, concealed behind a flat-roofed dormer. The front façade has two windows, with a square bay window featuring mullions on the ground floor to the left. A 20th-century glazed door is positioned to the right, within a 20th-century extension built in a matching style. A planked door is found in the left-hand return front. A stone shield is set into the gable, inscribed with "F.A.P/03". The lodge is included on the heritage register primarily for its group value in relation to the Buttery.
