Description

The house, dated to the late 18th century, is situated on the south-east side of Kemsley Street in Bredhurst. It is comprised of two ranges set at right angles to the street. The front façade is of red brick with grey headers in a Flemish bond pattern, and has a plain tile roof. The roof is hipped to the road. The house is two storeys high, and the front has a regular arrangement of sash windows. A panelled front door, slightly off-centre to the left, is surmounted by a small, three-light rectangular fanlight with a segmental head. There are two projecting brick stacks on the right return elevation, and two on the left, one of which is smaller and constructed of gault brick.
