Description
Green Court is a house located partly in Boxley Parish, with a mid-18th century front that may be attached to an earlier building, along with 19th-century additions and alterations. The right section, dating from the mid-18th century, features chequered red and grey brick and a plain tile roof. It has two storeys and attics set on a brick plinth, with an eaves plat band and a wooden eaves cornice. There are brick end stacks and two plain dormers. The front has a regular arrangement of three windows with sash frames, the central window being slightly narrower. The central entrance has a panelled door with arched top panels and a narrow rectangular fanlight, all sheltered by a lean-to canopy with a plain tile roof and carved brackets on corbelled brickwork. The left section, built in the 19th century, is made of red brick in Flemish bond and also has a plain tile roof. It features two storeys with an eaves plat band and wooden eaves cornice, and a large rear stack. The front has a regular arrangement of two windows with glazing bar sashes that break through the eaves. There is a single-storey extension to the left in red brick with some grey headers. The left half of the building is within Boxley Civil Parish.
