Description

Orion's Cottage is a house dating from around 1500, with alterations made in the 18th century. It features a timber-framed structure that is exposed, with curved tension braces and painted brick infilling on the first floor, while the ground floor is also finished in painted brick. The roof is plain tiled and has two storeys, with a jettied first floor. The roof includes a hipped gable facing the road and a gablet. There are two 17th-century stacks located to the left of the building. The front has one framed bay, with a 20th-century wood casement window on the first floor and a central 19th-century wood casement window on the ground floor. To the right, there is a 20th-century studded plank door.
