Description
Vergers Lodge is a house dating from around 1500, with 20th-century repairs. It features an exposed timber frame with plaster infill set on a flint plinth, topped by a plain tile roof. The building has two storeys and a first-floor jetty, supported by one original moulded dragon post on the right. The roof has a hip end facing the road, with a gablet and a stack on the right side. The front has one framed bay, with 20th-century wood and leaded casements on either side of a blocked opening. The ground floor displays 20th-century close studding, two 20th-century wood casements, and a 20th-century plank door set in a restored four-centre arched opening to the left.
