Description
Haddon Cottage is a house dating from the early 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th and 20th centuries. It features a timber frame with red brick cladding on the ground floor and a plain tile roof. The building has two storeys set on a brick plinth, with a jetty on the first floor. There is a large 17th-century stack at the right end. The structure consists of three framed bays, which include curved tension braces and some ornamental bracing. The windows are irregularly arranged, featuring two 20th-century wooden casements on the first floor, and a large 20th-century three-light brick mullioned window with a drip mould above it. To the left, there is a 20th-century plank and stud door with sidelights and a continuous drip mould over it. Inside, the framing and floors are intact, showcasing early 17th-century moulding and quirk and tongue stops on the beams.
