Description

The White Cottage is a house dating from around 1600, which was restored in the mid-20th century. It features a timber-frame structure with painted brick infill and a tiled roof. The building consists of two framed bays aligned north to south and has gable-end stacks. The east front has two storeys and three windows, which are 2-light metal-framed casements. On the ground floor, there are three casements, and the entrance, located to the right of centre, has a tiled gabled porch and a ledged front door. The framing includes close-studding with a mid-rail on the ground floor, and the first floor has two square panels high with straight angle braces.
