Description
Doggetts is a house dating from the mid-16th century, which was restored in the mid-20th century. It features a timber frame set on a brick and stone plinth, with red brick and rendered infill below the eaves at the top left and right of the building. The house has an H-shaped plan and two storeys, with a front range that includes four framed bays and curved corner bracing. The front has four casement windows on the first floor and two on the ground floor, along with a half-glazed door situated to the left of centre beneath a gabled porch hood supported by wooden posts. The right-hand return front displays tile-hung gables on both ranges. Inside, substantial framing is exposed, and there is a panelled cross passage along with a clasped purlin windbraced roof.
