Description
Poundhill Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with 19th and 20th century extensions to the left and rear. The building features a timber frame in the center and right sections, with whitewashed brick infill, and applied timber to the left. It has a plain tiled roof with an end stack on the left, a front ridge stack to the left of center, and another end stack on the right. The cottage is two storeys high with an attic in the gable front. To the left is a 19th century crosswing with irregular window placement. The first floor of the gabled wing has two casement windows, while there are two additional casement windows in the center and right sections. A square bay casement window is positioned diagonally across the left corner of the ground floor. There is a planked door in a flat-roofed half-glazed porch to the left of center, which connects to a catslide extension of the main roof. A whitewashed brick extension is set back at the right end, and there is a pent roof wing to the rear left.
