Description

The Old Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century. It is timber-framed and originally clad with whitewashed brick, with boarded eaves and a plain tiled roof. A rear ridge stack has been rebuilt to the left. The house is two storeys high, with a gable-lit attic in the return front elevations. The first floor has two glazing bar sash windows. A 20th-century bow window is located on the ground floor. The front features a four-panel door within a projecting, pedimented brick porch on the right end. The right-hand return front is tile-hung. A catslide roof extends across the rear.
