Description

This is a house, originally dating to the 16th century, and later used as a public house (The Prince Albert, formerly the Prince Albert Inn) before conversion to residential use in 2023. The house is timber framed, with a brick plinth and brick cladding below a tile-hung upper section. It has a plain tiled roof with stacks at the rear on both sides, and a rendered stack to the right of the centre front. The two-storey, three-bay front has 19th-century casement windows on the first floor. A half-glazed door sits to the left of the centre, sheltered by a cambered head porch hood supported on brackets, which has a dogtooth pattern edging. A part-glazed plank door is to the right, under a gabled porch hood on brackets. The return front to the right shows the exposed timber frame and has a gable lit attic. Inside, there is a moulded dais beam, a stone hearth surround with a hollow chamfer on the first floor, and visible timber framing.
