Description
Nicholas Wolmers Cottage is a 16th-century cottage that was restored in the 20th century. It features a timber frame set on a brick and rubblestone base, with red and blue brick infill below and fishscale tile hanging above on the street front. The roof is plain tiled, with a stack located at the rear right and front left. The cottage has two storeys and a gabled front facing the street, with a jettied first floor supported by corner brackets. There is one casement window on the first floor and a 20th-century ribbed door to the right, which is accessed by a flight of four steps. The right-hand return front displays exposed framing with two bays and curved corner bracing. Additionally, there is a 20th-century extension at the rear.
