Description
Ratcatchers Cottage is a 16th-century cottage that has been extensively restored in the 20th century. It features a timber frame with galleted ironstone rubble at the base and brick infill above, some of which is arranged in a herringbone pattern. The roof is plain tiled, hipped to the left, with a gabled front stack on the left and two diagonal end stacks on the right. The cottage is two storeys high and consists of three framed bays with irregular leaded casement windows. There is an angle bay window on the ground floor to the right, which is covered by a hipped tiled roof. A planked door is located to the left of centre, sheltered by a gabled porch hood supported by carved brackets and wooden supports. The right-hand return front is tile hung.
