Description

Lovelands Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century. It has a timber frame set on a rubblestone plinth, with whitewashed brick cladding on the front. The building features a parallel range with plain tiled roofs and a valley stack. It is two storeys high, with a gable-lit attic in the front range. On the first floor, there is a three-light leaded casement window, while the ground floor has two leaded casements flanking a 19th-century plank door, which is sheltered by a flat porch hood supported on brackets. The front also has a tile-hung section on the first floor, revealing exposed framing made of thin scantling below.
