Description
Lower Stonehurst Farm House is a house dating from the early 17th century. It features a timber frame set on a stone plinth, with whitewashed brick cladding below and tile hanging above, some of which is arranged in a fishscale pattern. The plain tiled roof has a triple corbelled stack positioned to the right of the center. The house is two storeys tall and has a regular arrangement of windows, with five windows across the first floor and three-light leaded casements on the ground floor. There is a ribbed door to the right, situated in a timber-framed and brick gabled porch that has leaded windows. The left-hand return front displays exposed framing in square panels with brick infill. There is a wing at right angles to the rear left and a larger wing at the rear right.
