Description

The White House is a late 18th-century house. It is constructed of whitewashed brick with a stone plinth. A wooden modillion cornice sits beneath a brown brick parapet, partially concealing a tall mansard roof covered in plain tiles, with end ridge stacks. The house has two storeys and an attic, with two flat-roofed sash dormers with glazing bars in architraves. Three glazing bar sash windows with shutters are present across the ground and first floors. The front door is a six-panel door with a traceried fanlight and an open dentil pediment in a moulded panelled surround, to the right. A two-storey flat-roofed extension was added to the rear in the 20th century.
