Description
Tumblers Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with a parallel range added to the rear in the late 19th century. The building is timber framed and clad in white-washed coursed rubblestone, featuring brick dressings on the left side and whitewashed brick on the ground floor to the right, which is covered by whitewashed V-shaped tile hanging. It has plain tiled roofs and stands two storeys high, with a square central stack on the front range and a corbelled stack on the right side of the rear range. The first floor has two three-light casement windows, one of which has a cambered head and dates from the 19th century. On the ground floor, there is a three-light casement window on the left and a two-light window on the right. A door is located on the left-hand return front in the gable end of the rear range, positioned beneath the first-floor window.
