Description
The outbuildings located to the southeast of Stacey's Farm Cottage consist of a former stable and an adjoining outbuilding, which are now used as a garage and storage space. The northern half, which served as stables, is dated 1833, while the southern part was built in the early to mid 19th century, as it is positioned next to the stable gable. Both structures are constructed from Bargate stone rubble with red brick dressings and feature half-hipped tiled roofs.
The former stables are two storeys tall, with a central hayloft entrance on the first floor that has pintle hinges. The ground floor includes two stable doors with cambered head linings, which now have 20th-century doors, and two small cambered-headed windows that also feature 20th-century glazing. The adjoining outbuilding is a single storey with an attic in the southeast gable end. The southwest side has a wide entrance with double doors and a cambered-headed door.
