Description
Stacys Farm Cottage is a house that dates from the late 16th century, with remodels and extensions made in the late 19th and 20th centuries. The core of the building is timber framed, with the front clad and under-built in red and brown brick, and tile hung above. It features a plain tiled roof that is half-hipped at both ends, with a gablet on the right end. The cottage has one storey and an attic, which includes four leaded gabled dormers that extend through the eaves. There is an inserted stack in the center and another stack to the right. On the first floor, there is a casement window above the door, while the ground floor has four casement windows, which are narrower on the left side, along with a central door that is sheltered by a half-hipped porch. To the right, there is a 20th-century pentice extension, and additional wings extend to the rear at right angles. Inside, the frame is visible, and the original layout included a lobby entrance with a deep brick fireplace.
